At 60 years old, Wu Wenzhong is the original painter of the “Mazu Six Harmonies” series. Since 2019, he has immersed himself in Mazu culture, visiting the Meizhou Mazu Ancestral Temple to gain a deeper understanding of Mazu’s spirit. Wu reflects, “The core of Mazu culture is ‘harmony.’ Only by understanding this essence can one truly convey its moving power through art.” His works embody the concept of harmony, capturing the beauty and unity of family, nation, society, the Taiwan Strait, the motherland, and the world, serving as a vivid representation of Mazu’s spirit.

A Feast of Art and Cultural Exchange

During the carnival’s launch ceremony, Wu Wenzhong’s paintings were beautifully complemented by the calligraphy works of Yang Wenhai, drawing many cultural enthusiasts to stop and admire. Wu explained the creation process and the deeper meaning behind the “Six Harmonies” series, which not only visually captivates but also fully expresses the “harmony and beauty” inherent in Mazu’s spirit through refined artistry.
