WeChat public accounts serve as a crucial platform for brand communication and user engagement for tea companies, with their data-driven communication capabilities directly impacting brand competitiveness in the market. On May 10, coinciding with the tenth “China Brand Day,” Ye Qidong, Secretary-General of the China New Media Development Conference, announced the “Top 100 Influential Fujian Tea Companies on WeChat in Q1 2026” at Fuyou University. Pinpinxiang White Tea, Yanba Tea Industry, Wuyixing Tea Industry, Richun Tea Industry, Zhengshantang Tea Industry, Xigu Liuxiang, Tianfu Mingcha, Chunlun Tea Industry, Qinghua Co., and Dingbai Tea Industry ranked in the top ten.

Fujian, as a major tea-producing province in China, saw its tea industry chain output value exceed 180 billion yuan in 2025, continuing to lead the nation. Under the development background of “Three Teas Coordination,” brand communication is becoming one of the core competencies of tea companies.
To promote brand building among Fujian tea companies and enhance their brand influence, product reputation, and market competitiveness, the organizing committee of the China New Media Development Conference has specially initiated a public welfare activity themed “Data-Driven Communication, Brand Leading the Future” called “Top 100 Influential Fujian Tea Companies on WeChat.” The aim is to facilitate the transformation of Fujian tea companies from “experience-driven” to “data-driven” through relevant industry data mining.

The “Top 100 Influential Fujian Tea Companies on WeChat” compilation highlights six characteristics: public welfare, uniqueness, voluntariness, timeliness, cultural significance, and communicability. This event does not charge any fees to tea companies, adhering to the principles of public welfare, fairness, and transparency, which is the event’s most significant feature.
The “Top 100 Influential Fujian Tea Companies on WeChat” ranks companies based on the collection of big data from tea companies’ new media accounts, using the “WeChat Communication Index (WCI) model” for comprehensive calculation and evaluation, ultimately sorting them based on the comprehensive data indicator of the “WeChat Communication Index (WCI).”
The “WeChat Communication Index (WCI)” model analyzes six dimensions: total number of posts, total number of reads, headline reads, average reads, total views, and total likes, accurately reflecting the operational status of WeChat public accounts, ensuring the fairness and objectivity of the rankings.
The total number of posts and total reads reflect the amount of information released by tea companies and the scope of information dissemination; headline reads and average reads reflect the quality of articles and audience preferences; total views and total likes reflect the image and reputation of tea companies in the eyes of their fans.
Over 150 individuals, including former Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China Ma Zhaonan, former Vice President of Fujian Medical University Chen Yiwan, Executive Director of the Chinese Tea Master Level Evaluation Committee Lu Jin, President of the Sichuan Tea Industry Association Qin Zhongxian, national-level (rock tea) intangible cultural heritage inheritor Wang Shunming, Guizhou Douyun Maojian intangible cultural heritage inheritor Cai Banghong, Executive President of Haixi Entrepreneurship University Huang Yulin, President of the Malaysia International Belt and Road Construction Development Chamber of Commerce Zheng Peizhi, General Manager of Minrong Tea Co., Ltd.
