On March 1, 2026 (the 13th day of the first lunar month), the establishment conference of the Peace Goddess Cultural Exchange Association was held at the Peony Hall of Wan Jia Hot Spring Resort in Xianyou County, Putian City, Fujian Province. Representatives and guests from various cultural, overseas Chinese, and Mazu cultural organizations gathered to witness the official establishment of this cultural organization.
Officials from the Xianyou County Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Xianyou County Civil Affairs Bureau attended the meeting and delivered speeches, congratulating the establishment of the association and expressing their support for related cultural exchanges and public welfare activities. Representatives from the China Mazu Cultural Exchange Association, the National Cultural Heritage Protection and Inheritance Center of the Great Wall, the Huaxia Cultural Promotion Association, the Xianyou County Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, and the Lushan Mazu Cultural Association also spoke at the event.
Many cultural figures and guests attended the event, including Zhang Lihui, president of the Xianyou County Mazu Cultural Exchange Association, Mazu-themed painter Wu Wenzhong, musician Zhang Yi, calligrapher Wu Jianxiong, and Cai Zhenhua, as well as Luo Fujin, director of the World Headlines China Operations Management Center, and Li Wenqi, director of the World Mazu Cultural Alliance China Operations Center.
During the conference, the first leadership body of the association was elected: Zhu Rongbing was elected president, Huang Shengfa and Zhang Shouguo served as honorary presidents, and Zheng Guorong and Lin Hongrong served as advisors.
The establishment ceremony also featured a cultural performance segment. Musician Zhang Yi, along with He Yunli, Li Ping, and Wen Zhaohui, performed songs, delivered speeches, and showcased dance performances, creating a cultural atmosphere centered on peace and great love.
It was reported that Xianyou County has been continuously promoting the dissemination and research of Mazu culture and related folk customs in recent years. During the Spring Festival, Xianyou County Secretary Wu Haiduan met with Zhu Rongbing, chairman of the Mazu Foundation of America, to discuss topics related to Mazu cultural exchange and the dissemination of peace culture. The local government stated that it would further support the development of related cultural platforms and promote Mazu culture to a broader international stage.
